40 years ago En.Jalil bin Shariff  a scout master trainer offered us one Ketupat  Manggis each during Hariraya.After the feast came a one time weaving lesson.In the year 2011 right after retirement I manage to remember the whole sequence of the weaving process. After weaving  a few hundreds of the original ketupat manggis,and give away all ,I thought of modifying it to be bigger , longer and more fancy.With daughters Mik Chiu and Mik Xin ,we spent some time and created the Pineapple Ketupat, or "wangli " which carries luck in Chinese.


Now with the new weaving method , I have created 'wangli' of many shapes and sizes.There are 1:mini at 1cm- 5cm , 2: normal at 7cm , 3:medium at 8cm-12cm4:large at 21cm-30cm ,5: transparent type, 6: digital light type, 7:raspberry type，8：others

 

40年前一位童军教练 Jalil 先生在新年开斋节请了我们一人一粒马来粽。餐后再来一课编织马来粽。在我2011年退休时，突然回想起整个编织“山竹粽”的方法。我编织了几百粒送给人家，悠然想到改装成越大粒、越长、越好看的“粽”。于是我和女儿密秋，密芯花了不少时间就编织成“旺梨” 粽。

现在我已经编出多种形态的'旺梨'：1:迷你型1cm- 5cm ,  2: 普通7cm ,3:中等 8cm-12cm,4: 大型21cm-30cm ,5: 透明式, 6: 灯泡型, 7:树莓型 8：其他
